In times of pandemic by COVID-19: the challenge for health education

Abstract

This is an essay that seeks to reflect on the challenges and perspectives of health education in the face of the pandemic of disease caused by the new coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). Based on the reflection on the current scenario, some difficulties are pointed out by authorities and professionals health who are at the forefront on the education of the population to follow the recommendations of official health agencies. The classic forms of prevention, of great importance for public health, such as isolation and the adoption of hygiene habits by the population, still face barriers to be implemented.

    Possui Graduação em Enfermagem pela Universidade Regional do Cariri-URCA. Mestrado em Alimentos, Nutrição e Saúde pela Escola de Nutrição da Universidade Federal da Bahia-UFBA e Doutorado em Educação em Ciências e Saúde, Núcleo de Tecnologia Educacional para a Saúde-NUTES, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro -UFRJ. Atualmente é professora Adjunto A, nível 1, da Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco (UNIVASF), campus Paulo Afonso-BA, curso de Medicina. Atuou como professora substituta no departamento de Enfermagem da URCA, nas disciplinas de Saúde Coletiva I, Saúde Coletiva II e Estágio Supervisionado na área Comunitária - Saúde da Família. Foi bolsista da FAPERJ, na modalidade Bolsista NOTA 10, no Programa de Pós-Graduação do NUTES. Desenvolveu atividades de pesquisa vinculada ao Laboratório de Tecnologias Cognitivas - LTC/NUTES-UFRJ. Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa, Ensino e Cuidado em Saúde (GPECS)/UNIVASF. Além disso, integra o Grupo de Pesquisa Clínica, Cuidado e Gestão em Saúde (GPCLIN)/URCA. Temas relacionados às pesquisas: Tecnologias digitais de informação e comunicação no ensino da saúde; ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem, narrativas digitais; relação entre narrativa e experiência na formação em saúde;narrativas e experiência do processo de adoecimento e tratamento, alimentação e cultura, segurança alimentar e nutricional no cuidado à Hipertensão arterial e ao Diabetes Mellitus; ensino da saúde e formação em Atenção Primária à Saúde, com foco no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Possui formação em BLS Provider (Basic Life Support) pela American Heart Association (AHA)/Associação Baiana de Medicina (ABM), 2019-2021.

    Possui Graduação em Biomedicina pela Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública (EBMSP), Mestrado e Doutorado pela Pós-Graduação em Biotecnologia em Saúde e Medicina Investigativa (PgBSMI) do Instituto Gonçalo Moniz (IGM/Fiocruz). Desenvolveu atividades de pesquisa vinculada ao Laboratório Avançado de Saúde Pública (LASP) do Instituto Gonçalo Moniz (IGM). Atualmente é professora Adjunto A, nível 1, membro do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP) da Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco (UNIVASF), campus Paulo Afonso (Bahia), curso de graduação em Medicina. Integra o Grupo de Pesquisa Clínica Fiocruz em Tuberculose - Fiocruz e é vice-líder do Grupo de Pesquisa, Ensino e Cuidado em Saúde (GPECS/UNIVASF). Foco principal: imunopatogênese e marcadores imunológicos aplicados ao estudo das doenças micobacterianas; resposta imune ao BCG; tuberculose latente; metodologias ativas de aprendizagem; ensino médico.
