Datas comemorativas de instituições e cidades são interpretações históricas e são motivo de homenagens, celebrações e, oportunamente, de reflexões críticas.
1o de março de 1565 ou 20 de janeiro de 1567. As duas datas já foram marcos de celebração da cidade de São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro. Entretanto, a partir de 1960, essa cidade instituiu o seu aniversário em março de 1565 e assim, está comemorando, neste ano de 2015, seus 450 anos.
Pensando nas cidades e no desafio dos seus projetos civilizatórios, iniciamos este editorial da revista Visa em Debate, com essa analogia comemorativa. Destacamos o nosso labo-ratório de vigilância sanitária – o Instituto Nacional de Controle de Qualidade em Saúde, INCQS – e a perspectiva de, ao longo do próximo mês, abrirmos as festividades que ocorrerão durante todo o período, de setembro de 2015 até setembro de 2016, comemorando os 35 anos de sua fundação. Lembrando que é a instituição mantenedora dessa revista.
